I mean, it's cool I suppose, but even if that didn't kill you immediately (which it would), the pain would force you unconscious anyway.
But I guess that's what makes this show what it is. Just me being cynical.

That scene was freaking fantastic and just because it might be unrealistic doesn't change anything about the plot. If we had just seen Gus's lifeless body after the explosion instead the story would be the same. But it symbolized how tough Gus was and what an accomplishment it was for Walt to kill him.
