Its pointless to debate until I actually see it.
But it seems like the common theme among the negative reviews are that it is "heavy" in tone and plot, and that it doesn't match up to its predecessor.
The Dark Knight was a great movie because it was a good crime movie as well as a good superhero movie. What crime villain in the history of movies has a goal of chaos? It was a great actor playing a great character in a great concept.
It seems that maybe as far as general crime movies go maybe it doesn't stack up as well as The Dark Knight.
For me I am a fan of the character first. And Batman is badass. I have no doubt this movie will come through for fans of the character. I will let the people gripe who just go to see it because they heard it was good.
