For instance, and nothing against United in this situation, but didnt they agree a fee with Inter for Wesley Sneijder but it fell apart on personal terms? He wanted a staggering amount of cash and United just said no.

Yeah, I heard that too. Basically, with Englands higher taxation compared to Italy, they would've been looking at north of £220,000. Higher than Rooney. There were talks he'd take a paycut... Little that did.
