I just got back from the Okanagan area (we stayed 5 days in Penticton and 5 days in Kelowna).
We didn't do it this year because we have kids now, but last time we were there we rented scooters. That was a blast and didn't need a motorcycle license. There are a lot of people on scooters, so it looks like most people are aware. We rode through the countryside over to this goat cheese/ice cream shop at the top of a mountain. It was pretty good time. We also rode up Knox Mountain Park, which was pretty fun too.
If you've got your Class 6, then renting a Harley is pretty fun too.
You could rent a boat or jet ski or you could try SUP boarding. It's supposed to be the 'in' thing to do now and all it is you stand on a surf board with a paddle and you can go along the shoreline of the lake and check stuff out. It's supposed to be a great ab workout too. I never tried it, but a bunch of people were doing it.
You could do a winery tour.
As far as eateries, I can't really recommend one, but you could probably find something good to eat downtown on Bernard Avenue.
Hope this helps.
