Right now we only have the infrastructure to handle adoptions within Alberta.
We have a detailed application that is completed, then a home check interview by a volunteer and then those two things are reviewed by our board.
The dogs are accessed by a professional trainer and we also get tremendous feedback from the foster families.
We use all that information to match the rescues to the right families.
It takes a tremendous amount of volunteer hours. While we don't plan on expanding to other provinces, we do hope to be a model for other such organizations to start.
