You are by far not the standard when it comes to dog owners and those leashes . It was a generalized statement because the vast majority of people who use those leashes don't control there dog. No matter what if your dog is on a 20ft even 10ft lead you have limited control over him. A brake only does so much when he still has 20 ft to run around on haha. I'm not saying your dogs run around crazy but...you know what i'm getting at.
