It has been a while since I played. I think BC years went by like 50 per - I know in the 1800s (or 1900s) it goes @ 1 per year.

How much is a standard game?

I think it is at least 700-800 and maybe 1000 turns to get up to the year 2000.

Really not much of an accomplishment.
