My buddy is a hardcore Wings fan, and has had seasons tickets for the last 3 years.
He sent me a text of laughter when it was announced that Feaster had signed Hudler for 4 years at a 4 mil cap hit, and acted happy that the Wings didn't re-sign him.
When I asked him why, he said the same thing that was echoed here, product of his linemates, and that he was a lazy player. He also told me that Hudler has been a healthy scratch multiple of times over the last couple of years, but I see he played 81 games last season, so maybe he his is just bitter that they lost Jiri.
I believe I read somewhere that Holland wanted to re-sign him at a 3 mil cap hit, which is a better omen than the Redwings not being interested in him at all.
