If one wants to get pedantic (and
The Hockey News did when he made his splash in Calgary - they actually did a sidebar story on the spelling of his name), the title is spelled wrong as
'ä' and 'a' are not the same letter. Rather,
'ä' would roughly translate to 'ae' So it should either be
Bärtschi (as Portland did it) or Baertschi (as Calgary does it).
