Lowry deal. I really can't complain. I thought they'd have to give up a decent player for him, but with the team they currently have, they'll probably be picking 8th anyway and next year if the rumored deals go though, 12th-14th. It's an astute move by Colangelo. As well, I know Houston made an offer for Lin, but if NY does match, who's going to be their PG?
It's a shame Calderon is going to be dealt, because he has been a great professional during his time here, and he has embraced the city. He's one of those players that has always been underrated, so whatever team gets him will have a guy who'll play hard and add in those assists. I'm sure the fan's will give him a great welcome when he does return with the opposing team.
As for the other rumored deal for Iguodala, while he's not exactly the showstopper he was before, he's a solid player to have, and has really matured as a very good defensive player. DeRozan, Davis and Calderon, I really don't have a problem with that. I'd hope the Raps actually get a 1st rounder out of that because that is two solid potential's given up, and a proven Calderon, but I don't think I'd complain if there weren't any picks involved.
As for AK-47, I do believe he had major back issues and/or concussion problems which really hurt him, so you really can't expect much from him, but for depth purposes, to have him teaching Jonas or coming off the bench for him would be great. Two guys pretty much cut from the same cloth. Couldn't put that much expectations on the guy considering his injury history, but again, would be a huge lift off the bench.
Overall, if Colangelo were to do all 3, I think it would do the franchise wonders. I'm glad they didn't chase Lin, because that's super risky, but these moves are a step in the right direction. Let's see how this plays out and hope Dallas doesn't step in and f-them up again.
