I think that what is more prevalent in Calgary and Western Canada is termed "New England" or "Greek" pizza. Chicago deep-dish is something else.
Living in the UK, you cannot get anything other than Neapolitan pizza; thin crust, light on the toppings, eat it with a knife and fork. This is the only thing that exists here that isn't fast food pizza. Whenever I my better half and I are back in Calgary, we always make sure we have some Greek-style pizza at one of the city's many pizza places - Nick's, Matador, Demetris, Spiros. All run by Greeks.
