This post is making me think Jay Feaster might be trying to get guys like Backlund, Comeau, and Stajan to really work harder to keep their jobs, instead of doing the schlock approach of, "Well, good luck next year guys!" and hoping they do good.
It's not exactly an original approach, but it's something that should be done, in my opinion.
