The Minnesota Wild are pleased to announce two major trades that have been consumated in the past 24 hours.

The two deals breakdown as follows.

Deal #1: Alex Frolov, Matt Ohlund, Milan Michalek, Greg Campbell for Dan Boyle, Saku Koivu, Scott Thornton and Vaclav Varada

Deal #2: Iginla+4th+cash for Marian Hossa+2nd+MA Poliout

GM Farhall commented on the deals.

"This was an effort to get better and healthier this season while at the same time balancing out the loss of youth. Hossa is not as good as Iginla right now but long-term with think he has more to give us. Hossa is excited to come to Minny as evidenced by his willingness to waive his no trade clause. MA Poliout is an exciting prospect that made is possible to lose Michalek and Campbell in the other deal. This deal also made it possible for us to complete our deal with the Habs by freeing ups ome cash. We wish Iginla the best of luck and look forward to seeing him break some CPHL records this week."

"As for the 2nd deal. Saku is a tremendous leader and player that we are excited to have on our team. Dan Boyle is a great all around dman that will help our offense and Valav and Scott give us some great third/fourth line players for the stretch drive".
