The threat of lung cancer doesn't stop people from starting to smoke. Does anyone really think that the threat of contracting a disease that might increase their chances of getting cervical cancer in the future is going to stop someone from having sex?

I assume this is a one-time vaccination that will protect the girl throughout her life? I know I received many vaccinations in school and I didn't have any idea what they were all supposed to prevent. Most grade five girls haven't even started puberty yet, and won't even think about having sex. When they're old enough to start thinking about having sex, they likely won't even think about whether or not they've had an HPV shot.

At some point, we've all received tetanus shots. I doubt that made anyone run out and start playing with rusty metal.
