If you listen to any of his interviews, it will become abundantly clear to you that Jankowski most certainly does not want for confidence. His decision to post-pone college in favour of a year in the USHL must be due to other factors. As MMF noted, his very slight build—owing to the insane growth spurt he just experienced—and coupled with the fact that he has never benefitted from any elite-level coaching are the reasons he will spend a year in Dubuque.
