From the Hockey News:

Scouting Report: Played alongside fellow 2004 draft-eligible forward Travis Zajac with Salmon Arm. Has an excellent shot and is never shy about using it. Likes to use the body in the corners but must add more bulk to his 6-2 frame. Is headed to the University of Minnesota, and may remain in the NCAA for the full four years of eligibility because he is several years away from challenging for playing time in the NHL. Must prove he can still score goals as he moves to a higher league, especially because his skating ability is only average. He's a long-term power forward projection.

Impact: The Flames love taking Western Canadian players, so Chucko fits the mold perfectly. He's definitely not ready for the NHL, but should eventually fill a need for the Flames up front. Chucko is headed to the University of Minnesota, and will likely spend at least three years in the NCAA--before embarking on a pro career. Chucko is a long-term investment for the Calgary organization.

Some big differences between Chucko and Jankowski. First would be the skating issue. Chucko was known as a weak skater where as Jankowski is not. Second, Chucko was said to be benefitting from playing with Travis Zajac it is the other way around for Jankowski.

At this point, Jankowski is a project because he hasn't played in a league that offers a higher level of competition. Skill wize, he is top notch, albeit against lesser competition. A lot of the unknown will be answered over the next year.
