But listen to the
kinds of things that Weisbrod is praising, as well as his unusually high level of enthusiasm. When GM's and scouts "sell" the virtues of their draft picks, they tend to draw the most attention to their picks greatest attributes. In all that I have seen, heard, and read, Jankowski's skills, vision and hockey sense are consistently highly rated and very well thought of. You won't hear Canucks GM Mike Gillis rave about Brendan Gauce's offensive skills and calling them "off the charts" because, well...they aren't, and that is abundantly clear to everyone who watches him play on a regular basis. This is more than just a case of spinning their pick—although there is undoubtedly a good deal of spin involved. Every scouting report I have seen is extremely high on Jankowski's offensive skills, and that is what I think posters are most excited about.
