I would recommend getting a gig switch. If you are using the ports on the router they are 100Mb. Traffic between any PCs and the NAS would be Gb and anything bound for the internet would be 100Mb.

Also network speeds are theoretical, you won't ever get anywhere close 100Mb or 1Gb with protocol overheads. They are also stated in bits not bytes. Any transfer speeds shown on the PC will be in bytes.
