Well just look at the last couple drafts.
From 2011, 4 of the top ten spent the whole season with their team, another 2 made their debuts and looked good, will likely stick this season. The one's who didn't play will likely debut this year.
From 2010, 4 of the top ten have already played between 125 and 150 games, another 4 have played 60 +, and another 1 is a slam dunk prospect to play this season (Granlund). So that's 9/10 that are NHL-ready within 1-2 years.
From 2009, the top 4 have all played over 200 games, and only Scott Glennie has yet to appear as an NHL regular... again, 9/10 players NHL-ready within 2-3 years.
