When your assistant GM is making the call on who they're drafting after one viewing it's not a good thing. Pretty much a slap in the face to all the scouts who watch hundreds of games all year. You can't accurately scout a guy in that short a time period. Perhaps it would be in your best interest to watch the interviews and such before making posts about the pick being a "slap in the face to the scouts" because had you seen the interviews you woudl have heard that Button told Weisbrod to go see Jankowski play.
Seems to me like Jankowski was the scouts pick and they wanted to make sure Weisbrod saw him.
