They have to understand what it's like to feel bullied and the emotions that go with it. How else are they going to realise how hurtful thier actions are?

Maybe not a slap on the wrist... maybe 50, a public apology, yardwork for the victim women for a few months... bullying sucks and is stupid. Its not a matter of having sympathy, its doing what gets the message across.

A public apology and yard work is punishment and not a solution to the problem and it's not going to reduce bullying in schools.
