Nobody doubts that phoning in a death threat is stupid, chances are the person is going to be talking to the cops soon enough.

But the phone calls aren't punishment, unless the Dad is saying that these other people are punishing his kid for him.

I have a lot of problem with the lack of apologies that this woman has received, I have a lot of problem with the dad basically shrugging his shoulders and not making his kid take responsibility.
