Yes, I also pointed out Rerun's error above.

Acadians speak French as their primary language. It's a distinct regional dialect of French that might have many words and phrases that would be unrecognizable to a French-speaker from France (or even Quebec), but it's French nonetheless.

Most Acadians (especially those from Gen X and Gen Y who were educated after New Brunswick adopted a policy of official bilingualism) also speak English fluently as a second language. In places like Moncton, it's not at all uncommon to hear people switching back and forth between English and French during the same conversation.
