I too have lived in a number of places... Sydney NS, Dartmouth NS, Yellowknife NWT, Belleville ON, and of course Calgary AB. I have also visited every province and territory in Canada except for the Yukon.... so I definitely know what language people in Canada speak. Also my wife's father is an Acadian from NB... they speak French... it may be a #######ized French... but it is French. Most Acadians live in NB and NS and I may be wrong here but they do not comprise the majority of the population in those provinces... there by making those provinces "distinct".
