I guess someone needs to point out that recognition of Quebec as a nation isn't synonymous with separation. I'm not in favour of either, but it needs to be said.

I actually want it to come up in the leadership race though. Too often these important issues are swept aside because politicians are scared to touch them. They're afraid that if its known what they're thinking then it will cost them future elections. It might. At the same time I think its an important discussion for Canadians to have. I want politicians to say where they stand on issues like this, capital punishment, abortion and just about any other contentious issue.
