I don't think Batman dies, at least not until he's revenged his loss to bane. He may die afterwards, but Bats doesn't have any unchecked losses, and things will stay that way. We may see him retire so that Nightwing takes on the cape and cowl, but I dunno.

I'll tell you all right now, if there's no goddamned Batcave with a giant freakin' penny in it, I'm leaving this movie disappointed.
