I was rear ended on Deerfoot in February. I came to a stop behind the car in front of me (was rush hour, and there were already a few accidents so it was major stop-and-go traffic) and the lady behind me didn't stop (she admitted to watching another accident that we had just passed), hit me, and I hit the car in front of me. I wasn't deemed at fault for hitting the car in front of me, but I was under the impression that I would be for the same reason that Cecil stated. Guess it just depends on the situation??
