Regrets, I have a few
Leaving the army when I did. At the time it was pretty much a low budget dead end with low moral and a hatred for the government that we swore to defend. But I really loved the lifestyle, the daily adventures, the fact that on a few occassions I did some genuine good.
Not going on my 1991 cross canada revenge tour that I planned where I would drive from coast to coast punching people who had wronged me in the face.
Not asking my high school crush out, she was awesome and smart and funny and hot and I was way to shy in my school days. what made it worse was when I ran into her at our high school renunion and she still looked awesome was happily married and asked me why I never asked her out.
The years of estrangment from my old man, I really do regret that, while we've in a sense made up for lost time, it would have been better for me to try to heal those wounds sooner.
