So I am in the market for a new laptop after my last Macbook Pro (2009) died due to liquid damage. Any opinions on the 2011 Macbook Pro and Air? The 13" models for the pro and the air are being sold as refurbished units, and cost about $280 less then the 2012 Pro. It would mostly be used for school stuff and maybe a little gaming (Starcraft 2?)
The pros and cons so far for each are:
MBA
+ Portability
+ Higher res screen
+ Have an external drive so storage is not an issue (atleast I don't think so)
- Small storage (128gb SSD)
MBP
+ More storage space
+ I have 8gb ram from my old MBP which would fit in the 2011 MBP
I am also open to getting a windows laptop. Any advice would be appreciated!
