No... the author's first statement says she was born in 1971.
Baby boomers have always been known as baby boomers. Its the later generations Gen Y & X that became known as Generation Me kids. But now apparently those kids are now trying to re-write history... perhaps because they are embarrassed by the title... and their selfishness?
