I would say the Giants would be worth doing if you can swing it. Also check stubhub for tickets, sometimes they're cheaper than the box-office. (Not many season ticket holders want 80+ games a year, I imagine)
My wife had a good time (to the point that went to see the Dodgers in LA on the next trip) and I had to explain to her which one was the shortstop.
