Nice thread. The Wife and I just booked a trip for late September. I've read all the threads someone posted but still have a few questions.
We are going to get tickets for Alcatraz before we leave. She said we'd have to worry about scams for tickets? I've been looking online and it seems there are a few different tours companies to chose from. Can someone recommend a specific one? We want to get dropped of there, not go around it.

For the Giants game. Never even really considered checking out a game. Found out they are at home when we are out there. Seems highly reviewed on these boards. Is it worth going to a game even if its in the bleachers section? The trip is already fairly expensive so I didn't want to spend a whole bunch on tickets. Is going to a game one of those things where the atmosphere and stuff is what makes it worth it? And if so, would you recommend a day or night game as it looks like we could have a choice.
