Perhaps its because we're not part of the ME Generation?
Seriously though... the older you get the more you are exposed to situations where you see what goes on in LTC facilities (elderly family members, perhaps you are getting closer (as in years, not decades) to living in one of these facilities). You think about this more and of course it concerns you more.
Its no different than those people in their late teens or twenties getting all bent out of shape on the high cost of post secondary school tuition.
