Springs1, my wife and I
do dine out as often as you claim to, typically 2-3 times per week (more if we're travelling or it's a holiday). We've been doing this for almost a decade. I've literally had hundreds of restaurant experiences, and I can only recall
maybe two or three times in which I've received genuinely bad service. The number of times in which I've asked to speak to the manager to
compliment our server and single him or her out for going above and beyond greatly exceeds the number of times in which I've had to complain.
Although perhaps the fact that we only ever go to upscale establishments and never chain restaurants like Red Lobster, TGIFriday's, Olive Garden, IHOP, or any of the other places you frequent might be the reason for that.
Or maybe it's just that my wife and I understand what a reasonable level of service looks like and don't act like we're royalty because we ordered a $20 entree and a soft drink.
