Calgary Police are looking into a shooting that happened in the northeast Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Temple Close, N.E. around 7 p.m. after reports of gunshots fired.

Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, it appears a 22-year-old man may have been hit with some bullets.

Stacey says the man remains in life threatening condition and believes he drove himself to the Peter Lougheed Centre a short time later.

Police have cordoned off the scene in Temple, where they believe the shooting took place.

They are trying to figure out if the shooting is gang-related, but police say there is nothing to indicate it is.
