Look I can get past the inability to recycle a game every year without true innovation. That's ok. I understand. But there's a lot of really lazy things in there that are done simply to cut cost and make as much profit as possible that make their games really suffer.
- The AI in almost all their series is brutal when it comes to difficulty. EA doesn't know how to program a "smarter" ai, so they simply make it cheat by being faster than you or ridiculous goals going in that normally never would
- NHL's stanley cup winning celebration hasn't changed in 8 years? Something like that?
- NHL hasn't had new strategies since playstation 1
- GM mode continues to have broken trade logic year after year after year
- in the NCAA series, they managed to break the game so many times last year with their updates an EA employee publically admited online they weren't going to do a 4th patch (even tho it was required) because they were afraid they'd break something else. I believe programmers refer to this as "chaos coding" or something like that?
- In Madden last year franchise was virtually unplayable because scrubs who were rated in the 70's and unemployed refused to sign for anything less than millions resulting in unrealistic salaries. Rookies were also broken, and, no name fake free agents flooded the game replacing real players
When I started the "name calling" I wasn't being over zealous for effect, I really could spend an entire day listing stupid problems they refuse to fix year after year. Not just "one-offs" either.
