There is more to Edmonton than just North and South now. There is pretty much a brutal part of town you never want to hang out in by the Coliseum. That is like the old North. The new North is a lot more north with all new developtments.
There is overall a huge difference from what i see. I lived in the Northside until I was 21. (Londonderry area).
I then lived in Old Glenora, Terwillegar, and now Windermere.
Big difference to me.
Edmonton is so much bigger now.
You even see it ethnicity wise. Northside to me had a good mixture of different ethnicity. A big melting pot.
In Old Glenora and Terwillegar area, I would say it is a lot more Caucasian and a lot of the south west and west is occupied by a lot of Jewish people.
Compared to the North side, I just see less of everything in terms of panhandlers, homeless people, drunk people in public, etc. Less of those social problems.
