Just got back, May 7th to 12th.
Stay on the strip. I stayed at the Golden Nugget, and while Fremont is worth a visit, the strip is where it's at. Pool and water slide at the Nugget was awesome though.

Take a cab from the airport to your hotel. Chances are your hotel offers a shuttle, but it makes a lot of stops and all round sux. Our group (six of us) were offered a limo at the airport and declined ($80 split 6 ways would have been so worth it)

Bring comfortable shoes!! You are going to walk a lot

Most hotels have safes in the rooms. Lock up your passport, air ticket, and probably credit cards.

The locals seemed to love Canadians there. (probably because with the US economy we have the money)

Get US currency from your bank in advance. Debit cards sometimes cause trouble at a lot of locations. Credit cards work well, but there are a lot of scams.

If you visit Freemont and are staring up at that giant screen canopy, put a spare hand on your wallet. Was warned this is a prime pick pocket senario

If you are going to see the rippers, call ahead and have them send you a limo. The Cabbie drivers get a cut for driving you to clubs, and you might as well get a limo. A lot of times the club will send it for free.

If you are playing blackjack, tip the drink server $10 first time. Makes you way more likely to get your drinks complemented.

Tattoo Parlors have no problem tattooing your drunk ass.
Pawn Stars will kick you out if you are too drunk

Visit Heart Attack Grill on Fremont. Food is mediocre at best, but the nurse theme is fun. The nurses will pose with you for a photo too.
