I can understand having a problem with the guy that tried to attack you, but I still don't see why that would cause you to be against gay marriage specifically while still having "many gay friends" otherwise. But thanks for your explanation.
Anyway, your last line makes me feel as if you felt I was pestering you into going into detail. You were the one that brought up exactly how you voted, I just asked why.
