What a kick in the pants it would be for Anaheim to lose this guy.
Really hope they fix things like this in the next CBA somehow. There is no way a team should expend a draft pick on a player, have him develop really well, and then lose him for sweet F all.
Imagine how we'd all feel if Gaudreau keeps developing exponentially over the next couple years, and then finds a loop hole and walks in free agency at the age of 21.
Anyways, having said all that, if Schultz is going to test the FA market, hopefully the Flames can grab him up. It would be a massive boost to snag up the highest scoring d-man in all of the NCAA.
