and I hope you're right about it being deemed unconstitutional, but I disagree that a state trying to push for this kind of law is really insignificant..there must be a few people who feel its the right way to go.

Of course there are more than a few people who feel it is the right way to go. But, it is extremely difficult to overturn Supreme Court decisions.
It's insignificant IMO because it has little hope of changing anything.
