On 1, Mar is either arrogant, stupid, or both. How many votes did he cost himself in the next election by choosing to go right to the extreme option? On 2, really? 10 freaking cops for that crap? I don't hate police officers themselves, I hate policing as the bureacracy and this is why. If me or you or any normal citizen makes the call (and we'd probably be calling 311 first) to the police for this, they will laugh at us. But an alderman makes the call and the cavalry is there double quick. I wish I could say it was surprising to hear, but its not.

Given absolutely nobody will remember this next year when the election comes around, my bet is that the total will be something between zero and one, and that depends only on whether this nutbag voted for him last time.
