I don't expect anything of someone who wants to grow their own food. But I do think it is ridiculous that someone who wants to grow their own food expects the government to provide them with a plot of land upon which to do it. And arguing that you were trespassing because the options that the government provided were inconvenient just screams of entitlement. According to this iconographic it requires about 2 acres to feed a family of 4 off the land or about 500000 acres to feed a million people with subsistence farming. Should the city expand so that it can provide everyone with their own little plot close to where they live? The city is currently about 825 square kilometers you would need to add another 2025 km^2 to meet the demand.
