Glad to hear Buddy is on the mend, glad you're keeping us updated... yeah he looks like one sulky dog, if only they understood English so he understood why he's not allowed to run yet.
My dog has environmental allergies that only hit him in spring where he starts licking at his paws and legs. We have to monitor him pretty closely and take care of the hot spots as they crop up. We've given him antihistamines before but I don't find they work all that well, or if they do work, they'll only work for the period that he's on them... plus they really knock him out and I don't like continually drugging my dog.
I've talked to a few different vets about it and apparently there are allergy tests they can administer, but I've also heard the accuracy of those tests isn't always that great.
Needless to say it sucks and unfortunately, we haven't found a solution to spring allergies yet, I'm just thankful it's not a year long issue.
