I see this all the time. I couldnt tell you how many 'Financial Advisors' I do the taxes for. While Slava chose butchers as an example, I can actually tell you that out of the two dozen or so that are clients of mine, a good two thirds of them are housewives/stay at home moms.

They gave up their jobs to be moms so this is their way of 'continuing to work.' Lets just say that these are not the people you want to be trusting with your money.

The rest do it part time and are convinced that their big payday is just around the corner.

Look for letters after their names for reputable Advisors.
