At least you can choose to ignore them. It's hard to ignore noise. I much rather anal retentive.
My girlfriend lives in a more 'senior' apartment and there's this one guy that spends his free time scoping the apartment. He'll know all our schedules, when we go to work, if we washed our car... creepy things like that. For the most part, we're quiet people and we try to obey the rules and they're pretty good about that. Just the occasional old lady yelling at us because we didn't sweep the balcony or we had our moving truck in the visitor parking and they'll tow it. But that stuff we can ignore, noise in my apartment is very hard to ignore.
