Brossoit played ok, but wasn't tested a whole lot. Made a nice glove save on Rattie I believe. Seemed very focused and sound.
Rattie shot from everywhere, no wonder he gets so many goals. Missed the net twice with gorgeous chances. Wasn't a very good passer, everytime he passed the puck it seemed like it was a bad pass or a turnover.
Wotherspoon seemed very steady, made good outlet passes, their defense seemed very weak, other than Wotherspoon and Morrow. Morrow is a very good skater and passer (lucky Penguins).
Pouliot looked terrible, weak on the puck and the first goal was his fault for sure, maybe the second one too (I wasn't sure the player who turned it over).
Carruth looked very emotionally spent. He was getting beat in the warmup and he was visibly frustrated so I knew it wasn't going to be a good game for him.
Baertshi skated well, made good passes, but didn't really get anything accomplished. He set up Rattie for a nice chance, but he didn't finish. Baertshi looked very upset at the end of the game, understandably.
Nice to see Brossoit win MVP.
Not sure if the early goal took the wind out of their sails, or if they just didn't have it tonight, but the Winterhawks could barely make a pass.

I was at the game on Saturday night (and at the game tonight). Portland just did not look like the same team tonight at all. I think the home crowd really made a difference these last two games.
Both teams flew on the same plane and didn't get in until close to 2 a.m. By the time their equipment had all arrived and the buses took off it was 3. Perhaps Portland was affected more by this.
