I really enjoyed the movie, and I thought dreamy mcblondie did a better job of Captain America this time round, maybe it was because it wasn't centered on him.

I'd give it a solid 7/10, closer to an 8 though. It was a 6 up until that massive final battle, which was worth the price of admission alone. That final battle was amazing, so well done. In the context of a movie about demi-gods, super humans and men in battle suits I thought the end was "real". There was some very cool, very emotional moments I thought.

All the characters were used very well, loved Captain America laying out the battle plan then just telling Hulk to go berserk. I thought for sure Hulk was going to yell "Wild card, bitches!" then let loose.

Loki was a fantastic villain too.

I don't have the childhood attachment to The Avengers like I do Spiderman or the X-Men but even I nerded out at the end seeing Thanos, nice ending there.

I was surprised with the amount of build up at the start of the film, I figured with all those individual movies there would be less but I suppose with the sheer amount of characters it was still needed. I'd like to see Hawkeye and Black Widow have a joint movie, that would be kinda neat. Obviously some history there but dunno if either need there own flick.

Nice to see Joss Wheadon get atleast one character to call the ship a boat.
