So that throws a tiny bit of a curveball to the organization.

Now, assuming Irving earns the backup job in Calgary, Karlsson will probably be sent to Abbotsford and refuse to play. Then he'll probably refuse to play here and go back to Sweden. Which leave Abbotsford with Danny Taylor... maybe, if they sign him to another SPC.

Then the Flames will have to do some scouting to try and get another goalie.
