No offense to our Abbotsford posters who regularly attend games, but I think the Flames picked a bad location. Somewhere in Sask would have likely been better, if that was an option.
Still would have been in close proximity to CGY, but also a few hours further West which would benefit the AHL travel schedule.....and probably a lot more Flames fans, and a lot less Canuck fans.

Can't agree more. Whoever in the Flames organization pitched the sale to Abbotsford City Council is a very very good salesman (or woman).
Abbotsford's a good location from the standpoint that it's a hockey crazy area... if that hockey is Canucks related.
I think Saskatoon or Regina would have been a good spot depending on if you can convert some of the Pats or Blades season ticket holders into Heat season ticket holders.
Just an awful night overall. Nobody in the stands and a loss for the team.
